Our mission is twofold:

1.  Provide the resources that allow youth athletes to gain access to the best in lacrosse training, regardless of their socioeconomic status.

2. To eliminate the financial barriers that prevent young people from reaching their athletic potential.

Families are spending 10% of their income

on sports.*

Between league fees, camps, equipment, training and travel... families are spending as much as 10% of their income on sports, according to survey research from Utah State University.

Sky-high costs are preventing some kids from participating. Overall sports participation rates have declined in the U.S. in recent years, and the trend is most evident among kids from lower-income families.*

“How many Casey Powell’s, Wayne Gretzky’s and Michael Jordan’s are out there who don’t think they have an opportunity to play?”

Sports are proven to be one of the best activities that a child can participate in. They have the unique ability to bring joy, resolve, grit, kindness and compassion out of all who participate.

As society stretches to meet the demands of an ever changing world, sports provide a refuge where the playing field is inherently level and the same rules apply for all.

At The Lacrosse Assist Project, we recognize that most athletes will not reach the pinnacle of their sports, but we will continue working so that each athlete's aspirations are kept in check by their ability and not their income.

Give today and help us keep the playing field level
